Shropshire sports firm Sportsjam has secured room for growth with the purchase of a new office and production premises on Battlefield Enterprise Park, Shrewsbury after outgrowing their previous headquarters on Whitchurch Road.

The company - a leading retailer of football teamwear, leisurewear, sports equipment and coaching provision - has acquired a 5,000 sq ft building to provide the additional space needed to accommodate its expansion.  Renovation works have been ongoing over the last few months and are now complete.  The new property on Hussey Road houses its 15-strong team of sales, production and coaching staff.

Sportsjam aims to increase orders by 50%, creating six new jobs in the next three years.

Sportsjam’s employees have transferred into the new base following an extensive refurbishment and fit-out.  The work to the new office includes a dedicated meeting room and purpose-built office, impressive ground floor showroom and extensive storage and manufacturing area.

Further growth of at least 20% is predicted for the coming 12 months.  This growth is as a result of new sporting goods and educational provision contracts recently secured by the company.

Matt Burton, managing director of Sportsjam, said: “I am really excited about the new site and it is great to be finally in and operating from there.  The building is much larger than our previous home and has provided us with lots more space for warehousing and office facilities.

“The move represents a significant milestone in our history, which will build on our successful operating model and allow us to expand operations further.

“We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service, combined with our knowledge of grass roots football.  With the additional space at our disposal, we can now improve and expand our provision both locally and nationally.”
